The Eternal Message of Karbala
The tragedy of Karbala is not merely a historical event; it is a timeless symbol of resistance against tyranny, injustice, and falsehood. In 61 AH, Imam Hussain (a.s), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), stood almost alone against the massive and oppressive army of Yazid to protect the core values of humanity and Islam.
His supreme sacrifice, along with his family members and 72 devoted companions, teaches us to never bow down to oppression, no matter the cost. Karbala is the ultimate victory of blood over the sword, leaving a legacy of courage for all mankind.
Why We Commemorate Azadari?
Azadari (mourning) is our heartfelt expression of profound love, grief, and solidarity with the Ahlulbayt (a.s). However, it goes far beyond shedding tears. Azadari is a continuous, peaceful protest against all forms of injustice in the world.
By organizing Majalis, reciting Nohas, and taking out processions (Juloos), we keep the spirit of Karbala alive. It serves as a spiritual school for our upcoming generations, teaching them courage, patience, empathy, and the clear difference between right and wrong.
Mission of Anjuman Haidery
Anjuman Haidery is built upon these very principles of Karbala. We strive to spread the true message of Imam Hussain (a.s) by organizing Azadari, Majalis, and bringing the community together under the banner of the Ahlulbayt (a.s).
Our ultimate goal is to serve humanity, support the unprivileged, and hold firmly to the righteous path. We welcome everyone to join us in this noble cause of remembrance, education, and community service.
